Noma Bowl: While Adam and Jenny Kovacs are excited about their plans to open a bowling alley in the Olde Bowl space behind Sonoma Fit, everything is taking longer than expected and so they have requested an extension of the approval process for the lanes, restaurant, microbrewery and bar planned for 19310 Sonoma Highway.

Anniversary: Get Social with Cat owner, Cat Smith, is celebrating celebrated the end of her first year in business. Smith's company provides training, management and coaching for Bay Area real estate agents with social media and online marketing. www.getsocialwithcat.com.

CSA pickups: Frenchie, the new picnic supply store on Broadway, is now the pick-up location for Little Moon Farm's CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscription box. Every week customers receive a box of local and seasonal produce. www.littlemoonfarmnapa.com.

Anniversary: The self-dubbed 'Sausage Queen of Wine Country' Miranda Ives and her Hare and Hatter Sausage Emporium is celebrating their first year in business. Ives opened in the El Paseo Courtyard in July 2017. Ives' concept is to offer a more affordable and faster alternative to the traditional Plaza restaurants and tasting rooms. In addition to food, Ives serves wine and beer. The emporium is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except Tuesday.

New hire: The Rhone Room has a new manager. Sondra Bernstein has hired Melissa Chavez, 27, to run the new(ish) tasting room at Sonoma Roadside Shops. The Rhone Room is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., next to Fat Pilgrim.

Survey: Local hospitality companies are invited to take part in the annual Tourism Survey. The Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB) and Sonoma County Tourism use their annual survey to learn more about issues that affect the hospitality industry, including how to improve marketing, what local governments should know and who is working in the industry. sonomaedb.org/Current-Projects/Tourism/.
