Stores are moving, anniversaries counted, volunteers needed and more in this week's business news.|

Jewelry store swap: Filigree Jewelers, until recenlty located on the east side of the Plaza, is in the process of moving to the former site of Vineyard Jewelers in Sonoma Marketplace (where Whole Foods is). They expect to open in March.

Best places to work: For the 13th year in a row, Nugget Markets, and by extension, Sonoma Market and Glen Ellen Village Market, has earned a spot on Fortune's “100 Best Companies to Work For” list.

Business volunteers: The Sonoma Chamber of Commerce needs business volunteers for Teen Speed Networking from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 5 at the Lodge at 1325 Broadway. It is a chance to connect with local teens as well as other business professionals. To sign up email brenda@sonomachamber.com.

Volunteers needed: Sonoma Arts Live recently hired Volunteer Director Melissa Bingham and Volunteer Manager Sharon Grgich. Rebuilding: There is a North Bay economic outlook conference at Sonoma State University that will focus on a progress report on rebuilding in the North Bay after the fires. The speakers include SSU's Robery Eyler, Jennifer Gray Thompson of Rebuild Northbay, as well as a resilience employer panel. Register for the March 2 event at http://nbbj.news/outlook18.

Top gun: Patricia Provost, broker/owner of Century 21 Wine Country, has honored sales associate Marguerita Castanera with its President's Producer Award. The annual award is bestowed upon those sales affiliates who earn the Century 21 Centurion award and its Quality Service Pinnacle Producer award in the same calendar year.

New commissioner: Mayor Madolyn Agrimonti appointed Veronica Napoles to serve as a commissioner on the city's Fine Arts and Cultural Committee. Napoles is a Cuban-American architect, designer, painter, author and teacher residing in Sonoma. Until recently, Napoles was a docent at the DiRosa Contemporary Museum in Napa, and also served as a trustee for the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito.

Jack's shop: While the museum in Jack London State Historic Park is closed for renovations, retail manager Michelle Milne, who has overseen the Jack London books and merchandise since 2012, now oversees Jack's Book Shop in the cottage.

New board members: The Sonoma Valley Fund has added four new board members: Cristin Felso of Sonoma Teen Services; Karen Roche of WineTasting.com and Streetwise Report; Ken Stokes, who was until recently EVP of Reckitt Benckiser; and former healthcare executive Lucy Weiger. Peg Van Camp is the new chair of the board.

Interim named: Pam Simpson has been named as interim CEO of the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce. The search is on for a permanent hire.

Hospitality jobs: El Dorado Kitchen is hiring guest services managers. El Dorado Hotel is part of Moana Restaurant Group's collection of restaurants and hotels which operates 30 restaurants and hotels. There is also a Hospitality Career Fair on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 2, in Napa at 2751 Napa Valley Corporate Drive. Dozens of local hotels and restaurants are participating.
