Vailetti Plaza nears opening: Crews are hard at work at the site of the new Springs shopping center, Vailetti Plaza on Highway 12, adjacent to the Fetters Apartments complex. Marco Vailetti says that all spots have been leased and the center will include North Bay Credit Union, a coffee/ice cream shop, the Teen Center bike shop, among others. He expects doors to be open in September.

Anniversary and ribbon cutting: A Savvy Event is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a ribbon cutting on July 31. The business, based out of 706 Broadway, is a full-service event and design company. Kelly McLeskey-Dolata is the owner and creative director. Before founding ASE, she worked for both the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

G3 upcoming: Reservations are open now for the next G3 Gather, Grow and Go Women’s Conference, to be held Nov. 12 to 14 in Sonoma. In addition to speakers, G3 features morning fitness options, farm to table food and local wines. The speakers include:

-- Sheryl O’Loughlin is the former CEO of Plum Organics, Clif Bar and REBBL super herb beverages. She is the author of “Killing it: An Entrepreneur’s Guide to Keeping Your Head Without Losing Your Heart.”

-- Meredith Masony, a blogger who writes about the inappropriate side of marriage and motherhood on her blog, That’s Inappropriate.

-- Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run and author of “Girls on Track: A Parent’s Guide to Inspiring our Daughters to Achieve a Lifetime of Self-Esteem” and “Girls Lit from Within.”
