Napa Valley’s Carneros Inn has completed more than half of a two-phase, $9 million renovation and has been rebranded as the Carneros Resort and Spa.

The first phase of renovation included the debut of a new wedding and events venue called The Arbor, revitalization of the family pool, and a newly-built guest reception near the fine-dining restaurant. The restaurant, FARM, was also remodeled with a new bar and outdoor terrace with a fireplace, overhead heaters and stylish lounge furniture.

During phase two, the resort’s 86 cottages and 10 suites are now undergoing renovation with modernized furnishings and lighter color palettes to match the property’s sun-washed, farm-style architecture. Carneros Resort and Spa also updated the names for all 17 cottage neighborhoods which now reflect local flora and fauna indigenous to the region, such as “lavender,” “fig,” and “juniper,” among others.

Cottages have various amenities including fireplaces, indoor-outdoor showers, individual hot tubs and French doors leading to landscaped gardens. The property is home to three restaurants, a market, a high-end fashion boutique, two pools and a spa. FARM is the signature restaurant offering dishes that feature produce from the resort’s culinary garden and onsite farm.

The new name, Carneros Resort and Spa, reflects Flynn Properties’ commitment to making the property the most luxurious and relaxing resort experience in California’s Wine Country. The word ‘carneros’ is Spanish for rams, and refers back to the earlier use of the area as grazing land for sheep. A ram’s head is now featured in the updated logo, and a new website has also been launched to reflect the change.

“We are pleased to announce the rebranding of Carneros Resort and Spa as it is a continuation of our ongoing efforts to revitalize the upscale property,” said Greg Flynn, founder, chairman and CEO of Flynn Properties. “The new name was created to reinforce and complement the property’s distinct personality and ‘destination resort’ appeal in the highly regarded Carneros region.”

Flynn Properties also owns, in partnership, the Esperanza luxury resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, and Solage Napa Valley. Its affiliate, Flynn Restaurant Group, owns and operates over 850 restaurants in 29 states, generating $1.9 billion in annual sales and directly employing 42,000 people.
