Boys & Girls Clubs announce community partnership with Williams-Sonoma 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley last week announced a community partnership with Williams-Sonoma.|

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley last week announced a community partnership with Williams-Sonoma. Club CEO David Pier said, “Along with Chuck Williams’ celebrated return home came a deep investment in the community of Sonoma Valley and Sonoma Valley children and teens.” 

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley received a $25,000 donation from Williams during the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Broadway store opening on Oct. 2.

According to Pier, this community partnership will allow for educational opportunities for children and teens. It will be hosted by Williams-Sonoma at BGCSV and at the cooking school a the store on Broadway. “We’re proud to be a part of the local community and continue Chuck’s legacy of supporting such an inspiring, impactful organization. We look forward to partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley in the years to come,” said Janet Hayes, president of Williams-Sonoma.  

BGCSV Development Director Rachel Cusick added, “This is a milestone moment for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley. As our community grows, connecting in a meaningful way with influential partners like Williams-Sonoma will define the future of our community and the opportunities available for kids in Sonoma Valley.” 

Williams-Sonoma was founded by Chuck Williams in Sonoma in 1956. Each store has a professional demonstration kitchen for cooking classes and tastings conducted by culinary staff.
