The annual fundraiser for the Sonoma Valley High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) and Sonoma Valley High School’s agriculture program will be held this Saturday, Sept. 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Larson Family Winery, 23355 Millerick Road in Sonoma.
The theme is “From Classroom to Farm to Table,” and there will be a barbecue served with chili, Caesar salad, three-cheese polenta and Blue Ribbon desserts. A silent and live auctions with local favorite, Ed Vaughn as the auctioneer with unique lots such as biplane rides, a buffalo mozzarella tour and taste for 10, a week in Tahoe, antiques, jewelry and even whole farm-raised hog – cut and wrapped.
Tickets are $40 each or $50 at the door, and include two drink tickets. All the proceeds go to support the growing agriculture program at the high school, which teaches more than 400 kids in the areas of animal science, plant and soil science, ag mechanics, ag business, agriscience and more.
