Avalon Players’ ‘Shrew’ concludes run Sunday

Sonoma’s Avalon Players are staging “Taming of the Shrew” as its annual Shakespeare Under the Stars offering, through Sunday, Aug. 24, at the Buena Vista Winery, 18000 Old Winery Road.

Performances are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-24. It is recommended that patrons purchase tickets in advance as this is a courtyard setting and capacity can be reached. Wine may be purchased on site; no outside wines are allowed.

Picnicking is welcome with the courtyard and tasting room opening at 6 p.m. Shows start at 7 p.m. More information and online ticket sales can be found at buenavistawinery.com or at sonomashakespeare.com.
