What's open and closed on Labor Day

Monday, Sept. 7, is Labor Day and just about all government offices will be closed for the holiday.

The Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa will be closed as will Sonoma City Hall and all city departments. The Sonoma Garbage Collector, for Sonoma residents, will not have pick-ups Monday so all collections the rest of the week will be pushed back a day. Redwood Empire Disposal, for people who live in the county, will maintain pick-ups as usual Monday.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library will be closed as will the offices of the Valley of the Moon Water District. The post office will be closed.

All Sonoma Valley public schools are closed as is St. Francis Solano and the Presentation School.

There are no Sonoma County Transit buses running on Monday.
All banks are closed.

The Sonoma Index-Tribune is closed Monday.
