Five Valley boys -Joe Alexander Short, Brian Clementino, Andrew Owenson, Ruben Lopez and Jonathan Medina  - played for the Santa Rosa United '92 Gold, Boca Juniors in last week's United States Club Soccer National Collegiate Showcase in Virginia Beach, Va.

At the national showcase event, the Sonoma County-based United '92 Gold, Boca Juniors turned four strong efforts into four victories over squads from Virginia, New York and Canada, including the No. 2 ranked Canadian team, the Spartacus Soccer Club from Toronto, which entered the match undefeated. Alexander-Short (right wing/center midfield), Clementino (center back), Medina (right wing) and Lopez (forward) are incoming seniors at Sonoma Valley High School, and Owenson (right back) is a senior at Cardinal Newman High School.
