SVHS Rush slated for Saturday

During Rush, parents and students will complete paperwork, pay fees and pick up class schedules for the semester. Parents and students will receive the student's grade-level packet, in addition to completing the required forms and emergency card to receive their class schedule. Sonoma Valley High requests that everyone be prepared by bringing emergency card information, including lists of medications along with the family doctor's contact information.
Students must be cleared of all fees, equipment and book fines from last year. Costs will vary this year. The technology fee for maintenance/materials replacement increased to $45. Student Services/Programs includes the cost of a Student Body Card which is required to be on students at all times. The card costs $40 and provides free admission to home sporting games and allows discounts to dances and plays. The library-materials fee, including databases for research, is $5. P.E. clothing, which requires at least the mandatory T-shirt and shorts combination will be $20; sweatpants will run at $13; sweatshirts, $15, and locker locks, $5.

New this year, Visa and Master Card credit cards will be accepted for a $2 service fee. It is asked that small bills be used if paying with cash. Information and paperwork will be available on school athletics, Boosters Club, Script, Grad Night and school clubs.

Also, on Monday, Aug. 18, the Boosters Club will host a welcome barbecue for freshmen, new students and their parents.
