Brian Nova is one of the few jazz artists in the world who has studied and toured with the two titans of jazz guitar, Herb Ellis and Joe Pass. He has stories to tell and the Backstage Theater of the Sonoma Community Center is where he will be sharing them, and his music, on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m.

Nova has toured extensively in North America and internationally in Europe and Asia. He has preformed with the elite of the jazz world. Meet the Jazz Musician gives the audience an opportunity to hear Nova's music and ask him about his long career as a touring jazz artist.

Nova appears as a featured artist of the Sonoma Community Center's Sonoma Arts and Lectures: Meet the Jazz Musician series, co-presented with the Sonoma Valley Jazz Society. The Sonoma Valley Jazz Society is a small nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enhance the appreciation of jazz as an American musical art form through live performances and education in Sonoma Valley.   The Backstage Theater has limited seating, so advance purchase of tickets is advised. Tickets are $15.

For more information, or to purchase tickets for this or any of the Sonoma Arts & Lectures events, call the Sonoma Community Center at 938-4626, ext. 1, e-mail scc@vom.com or visit www.sonomacommunitycenter.org.
