The Showcase Gallery located at 13758 Arnold Drive in Glen Ellen will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, July 14, from 3 until 6 p.m. The opening will feature a reception where guests can meet local artists.

The wines of Benziger Family Winery and foods prepared by Chef B will be served. Artist Linus Maurer, an internationally known cartoonist, painter, humor writer and puzzle writer, will greet guests and discuss his work.

Also displayed will be the work of Don Ponte, a former printmaker and illustrator who decided to record the small village of Glen Ellen in oil paintings. Attendees can also see the work of Yannick Ponte, who gathers unique elements for home and garden decor and also one of a kind ethnic jewelry and has recently delved into photography.

Patrick McMurtry will display his colorful sculptures.
