10.01.04 - Chosen as the fourth Sonoma Valley business to receive the yearly award, a luncheon honoring The Sonoma Index-Tribune will be held at Vintage House senior center on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at noon.

Sponsored by the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce, the I-T joins the ranks of previous "Business of the Year" honorees - Sonoma and Glen Ellen Markets, Bob Nobles Chevrolet and Dowling Miner Magnetics. This year's committee unanimously chose the I-T based on its continued commitment as a business and community leader to serve as a role model of service, according to an announcement letter from the chamber. This year, marking the newspaper's 125th year and its launch of the magazine, Impacto Latino, reveals that The Sonoma Index-Tribune has raised the standard once again in service to the community, according to Executive Director Jennifer Yankovich.

At the awards ceremony, the chamber will recognize the Lynch family and the entire staff of the I-T. The luncheon will be catered by Broadway Catering Company. Contact the chamber at 996-1033 for reservations. The cost to attend is $30 and reservations are required.
