Andrew Frederick Aubin

Andrew Frederick Aubin, 85, passed away in his Sonoma home on Jan. 20, 2014, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Andy was born in Eureka and moved to Sonoma in 1932. After college and seminary, he settled in Corralitos and married Roancy Lee Osborne. Later he moved with his family to Sedona, Ariz. He returned to Sonoma in 1978 and lived on the family farm ever since. In addition to building his own home in Corralitos and Sedona, Andy pursued careers of teacher, rock layer and egg farmer.

Andy loved scripture study, local history and working hard. Even as Parkinson’s disease made moving difficult he completed the rock wall facade on his home and wrote pages of information, compiling his deep thoughts on Christianity and Sonoma history.

Andy was predeceased by his first wife, Roancy and his son, Jonathan. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; by his three children and their spouses, Sophia Elizabeth and Lee Brantley, of Sebastopol, Mark and Georgina Aubin, of Sunnyvale, and Bryan and Shauna Aubin, of Sonoma; and his many grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Andy’s life at Hillside Church, 2689 Adobe Road, Petaluma on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at 1 p.m.
