As the game went on, the Sonoma bench filled with the walking wounded, and halfway through the third quarter, the PA announcer told the crowd that the coaches had agreed that the clock would run for the remainder of the game.

Late in the fourth quarter, Biaggi hooked up with senior Kyle Dunevant on a touchdown pass from five yards out and the Dragons staggered home saddled with a 55-20 defeat.

With one more nonleague game still remaining Friday, Oct. 10, the Sonoma gridders will face small-school power McClymonds of Oakland, which soundly beat Analy the game before Friday's SCL clash and is a favorite to reach the season-ending state championships.
