Albrecht Empire volleyball MVP

Having led the Sonoma Valley High School varsity volleyball girls to three straight Sonoma County League championships as a three-time all-leaguer and the SCL’s back-to-back most valuable player, junior setter Mackenzie Albrecht has received another MVP honor for her exceptional 2013 fall season.

Albrecht was recently named the large-school volleyball All-Empire player of the year by The Press Democrat after posting more than 700 assists and 250 digs to go with nearly 100 kills and 40 serving aces for the Lady Dragons. She also holds the distinction of being a three-time All-Empire spiker.

Also earning large-school volleyball All-Empire status for Sonoma were three-time all-leaguer junior Delaney Swanson, who was a first-team selection, as well as a three-time All-Empire honoree; and junior all-leaguer Ciara Smith, who received second-team recognition.
