Adele music students host free concert

The music students at Adele Harrison Middle School will be performing a free holiday concert at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Grinstead Amphitheater in the Sonoma Plaza.

Performances will include the middle school choir with a variety of Christmas carols. The intermediate band will play an ensemble of holiday tunes. The intermediate and advanced bands will combine to perform a classic rendition of Jingle Bells.

The advanced band will play three tunes and the jazz band will play a medley of holiday tunes all “jazzed up.”

Music program director Carolyn Niehaus said, “These great musicians have been working hard to polish their holiday tunes and we are looking forward to giving our musical gift to everyone in our community. “

“Come out and support our young musicians and bring your up-and-coming musicians so they may see what’s in store for them should they choose to participate in our schools’ music programs,” she added.
