A new hairstyle for Principal Hawing

Mike Seelye was eager to start his senior year at Sonoma Valley High and trained all summer for the fall football season. Two weeks before the season started, Seelye was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is the same cancer his mother, Kelly, was diagnosed with almost 10 years ago. His grandmother, Molly, was also diagnosed with cancer at the same time. In support of Seelye, (left to right) sophomore Adrian Espinosa, JV coach Hervy Williams, principal Kathleen Hawing, sophomore Giovanni Rodriguez and assistant JV coach Brian Cabaud. Media outlets across the Bay Area have covered the outpouring of support for “Mikey.” To learn more about Seelye and fundraising being done his behalf, visit gofundme.com/ekauyg.
