Sonoma to San Franctsco commute club seeks riders
If you drive to San Francisco from Sonoma to work, the Valley of the Moon Commute Club would like to talk to you. The local organization, founded in 1973, offers the only direct commuter route from Sonoma to San Francisco every workday.
Club spokesperson, Christine Hunter, points out, "It is a great way to save money, stress and wear on your car. Pure Luxury Transportation is a locally-based green certified company offering safe and comfortable coaches for passengers to ride in luxury while their personal chauffeur navigates through traffic."
Sonomans can catch the commute bus, provided by Pure Luxury at the park and ride lot at the corner of Highway 116 and Highway 12 at 5:55 a.m. very day.
It offers eight different San Francisco stops, including Presidio, Van Ness Ave., financial district and several stops in the Mission District between 6:40 a.m. and 7:10 p.m., with corresponding return trip pickups between 4:25 and 4:55 p.m., arriving in Sonoma at approximately 5:45 p.m.

Monthly fees range between $350 and $420 depending on membership. Casual riders requiring transportation for the day can pay $30 round-trip and $15 one-way.
