Shere to share Serres stories

The Sonoma Valley Historical Society will host speaker Jim Shere, president of the Glen Ellen Historical Society, during its meeting on Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at the Depot Park Museum.

Shere will speak on “Discovering the History of a Local Ranch.” The talk relates to Serres ranch and artifacts found at the ranch, which dates back to the Agua Caliente Land Grant originally given Lázaro Piña in 1839 by Gen. Vallejo. He will also cover periods up through the 20th century.

Admission is free.
