Olive and Vine open for dinner at Jack London Village
Olive and Vine Dining Room
Chef and owner Catherine Venturini has turned her Olive and Vine catering and "Unwined Wine Bar" in Jack London Village, known for its quality catering service in Sonoma Valley for eight years, into a charming dining establishment, serving dinners Wednesdays through Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
Occupying part of the historic old winery building at 14301 Arnold Drive near Glen Ellen, Olive & Vine features an open kitchen and a redecorated dining area with vintage chandeliers, reclaimed chairs, burlap tablecloths, Reidel stemware, art from Paris and what Venturini takes most pride in, "fabulous food, featuring local artisan cheese and breads and produce from local farms, plus excellent local wines."
With her partner, John Burdick, Venturini has combined their love of good food and wine with the attentive service they've developed over eight years of catering. Now, by serving dinner, they also use their dining room to welcome locals and visitors alike to their sleepy hamlet and newfound treasure of a dinner spot.
They plan to add Sunday brunch, as the Farmer's Market will be set up in their lower parking lot starting Sunday May 15, and perhaps music on Sunday evenings, supplied by Burdick, also a singer/songwriter, guitarist, and his myriad group of musician friends.
