Meadowcroft Wines celebrates first anniversary Oct. 1
The Meadowcroft Wines tasting room at Cornerstone Sonoma will celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday, October 1 in the tasting room. Wine, food, music and prizes will be available to all who attend. The event is free and open to the public and takes place from 12 Noon to 4 p.m.
“It has been a great first year for us at the tasting room,” said Tom Meadowcroft, winemaker and owner of Meadowcroft Wines. “The tasting room has been incredibly beneficial in helping to get our name out there in the community. We have had many special events during our first year including a Mardi gras party back in March and the inauguration of our monthly Songwriters In Sonoma music series that started in January. We are truly looking forward to an even more rewarding second year.”
The menu will feature grilled Cajun sausage flown in from Eunice, Louisiana along with French bread and Jack Miller’s Barbeque sauce that is also shipped in from Louisiana, all of which pairs perfectly with all of the Meadowcroft wines on the tasting menu. Blues singer Liz Brown, a unique singer-guitarist known for her “swampbox” guitar, will provide music.
Meadowcroft Wines includes the Meadowcroft and Thomas Henry labels. New releases being poured at the tasting room include the 2010 Thomas Henry Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc and the 2010 Thomas Henry Napa County Pinot Noir as well as the 2008 Meadowcroft Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2007 Meadowcroft Sonoma County Syrah.
The tasting room is located within the Cornerstone Sonoma (www.cornerstonesonoma.com) complex that features 24 world class gardens, a gourmet café, art galleries and cutting edge design shops all set among acres of vineyards.
Meadowcroft Wines is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For information call 707-934-4090.
