Good Company Wines acquires CellarThief
Tony and Danielle Westfall growing their Sonoma-based company
Tony and Danielle Westfall owners of the locally-based Good Company Wines ®, parent company of invino® (www.invino.com), the original members-only private-sale site for wine, announced this week that they have acquired CellarThief (www.cellarthief.com) for an undisclosed amount.
CellarThief, recently named to Internet Retailer’s Hot 100 e-tailers of 2012, will now operate as a separate subsidiary under the Good Company Wines umbrella. Launched in 2009, CellarThief is one of the early flash-sale sites for wine offering multiple wines per day in a one-day sales format.
“The addition of CellarThief to the growing portfolio of companies under Good Company Wines helps to strengthen our reach to online wine consumers. CellarThief’s strategic direction and philanthropic endeavors are synonymous with the core values of Good Company Wines,” Tony Westfall stated.
Good Company Wines plans to continue CellarThief as a separate subsidiary based in Sonoma.
