SONOMA MARKET'S Mike Short and Doug Offenbacher show off Offenbacher's new Slonoma Life is Slow Merlot.

Doug Offenbacher released his Slonoma label 'Life is Slow' Merlot, the first of several Slonoma brand wine and food products he has planned for release this year. The wine is offered at Sonoma Market for $13.88.
Offenbacher, a longtime Sonoma area advertising and marketing professional was for many years the marketing and advertising manager for Sebastiani Winery under August and Sam Sebastiani. He is also currently a partner in the Sonoma Valley-based Highway 12 Winery that is managed by Paul Giusto and Michael Sebastiani.
His Life is Slow Merlot is crafted according to his specifications by Highway 12.
Offenbacher, who inspired the Hit the Road Jack run event in 1987 for the Sonoma Cheese Factory, is working on an event that would use the Slonoma idea to raise money for a local cause.
He plans on releasing a Slonoma brand Life is Slow olive oil sometime next month, and has his eye on the release of his Slonoma 'Lazy Day Chardonnay' after that.
He added that the brand was inspired by Sonoma's Cittaslow designation.

Good Evening Doug:

SLONOMA MERLOT possesses full rich, and inviting aromas. It exhibits nice, lingering fruit. It demonstrates firm, pronounced tannins. It is reminiscent of the first time I experienced Poet's Row Merlot. It opened up during the course of an evening as a very forward, demonstrative, assertive Merlot.

BRAVISSIMO.

Mike
P.S. I hope the chardonnay and olive oil is equally expressive!
