Benefit kickball tourney Saturday features local businesses
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley is holding an inaugural "Corporate Kickball Tournament," Saturday, July 16, to raise money for after school enrichment and educational programs.
The tournament, set for Teeter Field in Sonoma, will feature teams, from local companies, groups, and individuals. Early registrants include teams from The Other Guys, Sonoma Materials, Bank of Marin, Ken Brown and Friends, St. Francis School Men’s Club, Boys & Girls Club Staff, and Frank Crystal & Co.
What is Kickball?
Kickball is the game many of us played in elementary school. It consists of two teams, four bases and large red rubber ball. Similar to baseball, the object of the game is to score the most runs. The team with the most runs wins.
Competition runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Food and drinks will be served during the tournament in Depot Park and at the Teeter Field snack bar as well.
If you would like to participate with a team, contact Katie Holden at kholden@bgcsonoma.org or call 938.8544 x106.
