AT&T U-Verse installation underway in City of Sonoma

Crews from Atazz Technical Services in Sacramento have been working around Sonoma for the last several weeks installing cabinets, which AT&T call "nodes" for its U-Verse digital TV, high-speed internet and phone service package, soon to be offered in many parts of Sonoma.
 

Currently, there are five nodes being installed, with another five to be installed sometime in the next several weeks. Each is capable of handling 250 U-verse customers and has a range of 3,000 feet.
 

Once the installations are complete and tested, the marketing department of AT&T will begin offering the U-verse service to Sonoma residents.
 

The current project calls for virtually all of the installations to be inside the city limits an AT&T spokesman stated. There are no announced plans for additional nodes to be installed outside the city.
