$100,000 for Sonoma Valley Youth!
For the tenth year, Sonoma Plein Air held its weeklong event celebrating the century-old technique of outdoor painting. Three events: the Quick Draw, Gala Dinner and Art Show & Sale were held in October. Quick Draw took place in the Plaza during the farmers market. This was the first opportunity for the public to meet the artists, watch them paint and purchase their paintings. The Gala Dinner was held at the Lasseter Train Barn, where each artist brought his or her best work of the week to be sold at the Silent Auction.
The annual gathering of artists culminated at Sonoma's Historic Plaza for the Art Exhibition & Sale. Art lovers and collectors from across the United States mingle with the artists including Dick Cole and Keith Wicks (Sonoma, CA), Dennis Ziemienski (Glen Ellen, CA), Darrell Hill (Kamuela, HI), Ken Dewaard (Viroqua, WI), Eric Bowman (Tigard, OR), Dan Schultz (Ojai, CA).
The Sonoma Plein Air event every year raises funds to support art education for Sonoma Valley youth.
