What to do, Where to go From the Winter 2011 issue of SONOMA magazine

Fall’s calendar is always filled with events and celebrations, which makes choosing what to attend and support a challenge. Following is a sampling of how some Valley residents kept busy during the fundraising season.
A cocktail party was held at Sandy and Joan Weill’s Sonoma home to welcome friends and neighbors to celebrate their new project–The Green Music Center on the campus of Sonoma State University.
The Sonoma Valley Harvest Wine Auction was the Grand Finale to Sonoma Wine Country Weekend, with the theme “Sonoma Homecoming–Vintage 2011.” Nancy Lasseter and John Lasseter, Rick and Lori Miron, got into character and rallied others at the auction.
The Ninth Annual Fashion in the Vineyards event, benefiting the VOM Boys & Girls Club, was held at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. The runway was taken over by local models including Elias Casola and Holly Kyle to name a few.
The Sonoma Community Center celebrated Nicholas Carriger as their Muse for 2011. Wearing their best denim and gold, guests Bob and Jean Sessions and Gene and Ethel Daly carried on the gold rush tradition of Old Sonoma.
