Sonoma Raceway heats up for the summer

NASCAR

June 22 to 24
It’s easily the biggest event of the year when the Toyota/Save Mart 350 rolls into town with celebrity drivers. NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series takes over the town, with daylong events around the most unique racetrack in the country. Tickets can be purchased for a single day, or the entire event.
Packages range from $25 to $195.

NHRA Division 7 Drag Races

July 20 to July 22
The NHRA Division 7 Drag Races, presented by Korbel, kicks off two weekends of world-class drag racing, July 20 to 22, highlighted by the return of the Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car classes. In all, more than 400 drag-racing machines will compete throughout the weekend on the quarter-mile drag strip in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event.
6 to 10 p.m.; $5 to $45.

NHRA Sonoma Nationals

July 27 to July 29
Sonoma will rock ’n’ roll with 8,000 horsepower and 300 mph speeds when the NHRA Full throttle Drag Racing Series come to town for the NHRA Sonoma National. These are the fastest race machines on the planet, headlined by the Top Fuel and Funny Car nitro classes.
6 to 10 p.m.; $50 to $135.

INDY Grand Prix

August 24 to 26
The IZOD IndyCar Series hits the rev limiter as the cars and stars of the Indianapolis 500 invade the Sonoma Valley for the eighth consecutive year at the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma. Drivers will reach speeds in excess of 170 mph on the most challenging road course in the circuit.
