Susan Sarandon

Lights, Camera, Action-Yes for a few days our beautiful Sonoma Valley was the movie capital of "our" world. Filmmakers, actors, and movie fans came from all over to celebrate the art of filmmaking at the Sonoma International Film Festival 2011.
The event was a wonderful collage of feature films, documentaries, shorts and a party or two. OK! Many parties and celebrations (EDK, Little Switzerland, HopMonk, Lokal, Sebastiani Winery, etc.). Sonoma Mayor Laurie Gallian welcomed all to the festival; including actor and two-time Grammy winner Tia Carrere, Director Jon Mann-Krieger, and fans Curt and Marchelle Carleton, John and Deborah Emery, to name a few.
At the Tribute Gala, Susan Sarandon, this year's honoree, made a great impression on the audience. She was engaging, entertaining and a lady. Congratulations and a heartfelt thank-you to the festival's board of directors, staff and many, many volunteers for a great job.
