The New Year Eve’s signature fundraising event of the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance was a huge success. The 3rd year celebration brought a net profit of $241,500 to the Stand By Me Mentoring Program.
A sold-out crowd, including Rick and Lori Miron, Patsy and Rick Wynne, Cherie and Keith Hughes, Kelly and Hal Stober, dressed in their absolute finest, made their way to the ice sculptured bar, where Mentinis were the signature drink of the cocktail reception. A silent auction lined the Stone Building at The Lodge at Sonoma, where lots ranged from fly-fishing trips to golf excursions, tropical and ski vacations, cooking classes and cave dinners.
Once inside the tent, the dance floor was filled with ladies draped in black & silver boas, and men donning top hats. Guests danced the night away to the classic rock sounds of the Savior Faire Band. As the guests rang in the New Year with a champagne toast, the band played Auld Lang Syne and silver confetti rained over the dance floor to welcome 2012, Sonoma-style!
