Yes, that is correct Sonoma Market held its ever-popular “Down the Wine Aisle” Sweetheart Gala & Auction Lot dinner. Lucky bidders Rick and Lori Miron invited a group of friends to join them in this one-of-a-kind dining experience. Magician Joseph Schalich amazed John and Deborah Emery, Dallas J. Nelson, Dayna Lee, Mary Jane Stolte, Donn and SuJean Dabney, Rhonda Pipkin, before dinner was served. Once seated, guests got to feast on Prosciutto Bruschetta with fig and mascarpone cheese; Tomato Basil Soup topped with asiago and crispy crouton; Spinach Salad with a passion fruit vinaigrette; Beef Wellington with a cabernet reduction sauce and tiramisu with raspberry sauce. Dale Downing, Al Minero and Mike Short were there to make sure all the courses were paired with plenty of 2007 Domaine Carneros sparkling wine, 2009 Ferrari-Carano Sonoma County Chardonnay, 2005 S.P. Drummer Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc and a Graham’s 10 Year Tawny Porto. All this in support of our VOM Boys & Girls Club.
