Society Thrives Here - Broadway in Sonoma
Transcendence Theatre Company August 2012
The music rang out across the Valley hills this summer, with the welcome addition of the Transcendence Theatre Company. Made up of actors who hail from Broadway to Hollywood, the company’s founding members set out on a road trip across the country, searching for just the right town to bring a summer season of musical magic. Artistic Director Amy Miller, Producer Brad Surosky, and Executive Director Stephan Stubbins agreed that the Old Winery Ruins of Jack London State Historic Park was an ideal location, and the company hosted 14 performances of songs and dances from popular Broadway shows. The inaugural season raised $25,000 for the state park, and a second season is planned for the summer of 2013. Get more at transcendencetheatre.org.
