Toasty Cheese Crackers

Ingredients:

2 cup (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup butter
3 T. water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 t. salt
1 cup Quaker Oats (quick or old-fashioned, uncooked)

Preparation - Directions:

Beat together cheeses, butter and water until well blended. Add flour and salt. Stir in oats, mixing until thoroughly blended. Shape dough to form 16-inch long roll. Wrap securely; refrigerate about 4 hours. (Dough can be stored up to one week in refrigerator.)
Cut 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick slices. Bake on lightly greased baking sheet in preheated 400° oven 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; cool on wire rack. Makes about 6 dozen crackers.
