Sausage Bread

Ingredients:

loaf frozen ready-to-bake bread
1 lb. sausage
1 pkg. frozen broccoli
1 medium onion, diced
margarine or butter
oregano
4 to 5 thin slices of Provolone cheese (optional)

Preparation - Directions:

Prepare bread as suggested on package. While waiting for bread to rise, brown sausage and 1/2 of diced onion and oregano to taste. Drain off grease. Cook broccoli as per package instructions adding remaining onion and margarine or butter to taste. Drain off excess fluid. Knead bread dough flat and shape into a rectangle. Then spread cooked sausage on bread, top with broccoli and finish with a layer of cheese if desired. Fold bread dough around mixture, being sure to fold in ends of the dough, sealing in the mixture. Place loaf in pan and allow to rise again. Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, until bread is done. Slice and serve.
