Melt chocolate and butter together. Cool. Separate eggs. Beat sugar and egg yolks together thoroughly. Add melted butter and chocolate. Now beat this at highest speed about 10 minutes. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into chocolate mixture. Pour a little over half into ungreased 9 inch springform pan. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes. Cool on rack. This falls fast, but don’t be scared. Remove springform ring. Pour remaining batter into baked portion. Chill for 12 hours. Freezes beautifully.
