Nut Cups

Ingredients:

Cups:
1 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sifted flour
Filling:
1 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
dash salt
2 T. butter
2 cups chopped walnuts

Preparation - Directions:

Measure flour into bowl. Cut in butter and cream cheese thoroughly. Shape into 36 small balls. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Filling: Mix together first five ingredients. Set aside. Take dough out of refrigerator and shape in ungreased miniature muffin pan. Be careful not to puncture hole in dough or syrup will go through. Put in about 1/2 teaspoon of nuts, 1/2 teaspoon syrup and 1/2 teaspoon nuts on top. Bake 325° for 25 minutes.
