Yvonne (Bonnie) Lenore Anderson, 83, born Jan. 8, 1930, died Feb. 8, 2013.
She was born in Oakland to Lenore and Royal Hilliker. Bonnie grew up in Gerstle Park area in San Rafael, and attended San Rafael High School. She continued to go to many high school and San Rafael girl’s group reunions. Her passion and love of rollerskating started in San Rafael and continued into her senior years in the Southwest Pacific Championships at the Aloha Roller Rink in San Jose with her friends and continued skating at Cal State Rink in Rohnert Park. She enjoyed years of traveling and yachting together with her late husband at Loch Lomond Yacht Club in San Rafael. She was a former member of the I.C.F. Sons of Italy, Republican Women’s Club, Moose Lodge, Bunco Babes, Bosom Buddies and the Limousine Ladies Group.
She was the wife of the late Ralph Anderson for 31 years.
She was the beloved mother of Pamela Schmidt, of San Rafael; Paul Schmidt, of Petaluma; Peggy Schmidt, of Nashville, Tenn.; Patrice Schmidt, of Sonoma; and Patrick Schmidt, of Mountain View.
She was the loving grandmother to Jeff Hamilton, of Portland, Ore.; Michael Fedoroff, of San Anselmo; Trista and Tara Rydenour, of Nashville, Tenn;, Kyle and Kaley Schmidt, of Mountain View; as well as the great-grandmother of Clayton Rydenour, of Nashville, Tenn. She is also survived by one brother, Mark Hilliker, of Ukiah; and two sisters, Susie Hilliker and Donna Rash, of Yucaipa; and her former husband, Raymond P. Schmidt.
Friends are invited to a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church, West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476. A reception will follow the Mass. A private inurnment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
Bonnie’s favorite flowers were daphnes, orchids and tulips.
