Why I love Sonoma

  I was standing next to my car, cold and stranded, in the darkening Safeway parking lot on Dec. 29. Chelsea Pirker, Margaret Stone and Barbara Rochester, among others, gathered  around me  to help find the missing keys.

  After scouring ground and floor in the store, Chelsea, with her young son and friend in the back seat, drove me home to find my other set of keys. My house was locked tight and a nearby friend with an extra key was not home.

  Chelsea checked Safeway on her car cell – they had found the keys. When we drove back into the Safeway parking lot, I found Margaret and Barbara standing by my car to keep my little imprisoned poodle company.

  An hour or more of time on a Saturday night – I can only say thank you Chelsea, your son and friend, Margaret and Barbara, Safeway and all concerned.
