What’s open, closed for M.L. King birthday

Martin Luther King’s birthday was Tuesday, Jan. 15, but it’s being celebrated on Monday, Jan. 21, which means most government offices will be closed.

The Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa will be closed as will City of Sonoma offices.

The Valley of the Moon Water district office will be closed Monday.

Since the Sonoma Valley Regional Library is already closed on Mondays, the library will be closed Saturday, Jan. 19.

Sonoma County Transit Agency buses will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday.

There will be no mail delivery on Monday.

Schools and banks will be closed on Monday.

There will be no disruption of waste pickup as both the Sonoma Garbage Collector and Redwood Empire Disposal will be making regular rounds on Monday.

The Sonoma Index-Tribune offices will be closed Monday.
