Volunteers sought for GE Easter egg hunt

Mar 21, 2013 - 05:15 PM

Easter is on its way to Sonoma Valley. The Glen Ellen Fire District is looking for volunteers to help dye the 1,440 eggs firefighters will hide on Saturday.

The annual Easter egg dyeing party takes place on Friday, March 29, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Glen Ellen Fire Station, 13445 Arnold Drive.

They will have all the supplies necessary to dye 120-dozen eggs, donated every year by Glen Ellen Village Market, and just need volunteers to help with the colorful process. Call 996-9266 for more details.

Firefighters will then hide all of the eggs at Dunbar Elementary School, which will host the Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 10 a.m.

Amongst the chicken eggs will be a handful of golden eggs, redeemable for a chocolate bunny. Youngsters should bring their own basket to collect eggs.
