VALLEY OF THE Moon Trap Club will hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef shoot this Sunday, March 10, starting at 9 a.m. at the club’s South Burndale Road site. Tickets are $5 a round, with five-person squads – sign up at 8:30 a.m. – and a bonus “Annie Oakley Shoot-off,” with a winner-takes-half-cash prize being offered. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS Sonoma Valley will hold two sign-up sessions for girls’ volleyball in grades three through eight at the Maxwell Clubhouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, March 23 and April 6. The season runs from mid-May to mid-July, with two leagues – third-through-fifth-grades and sixth-through-eighth-grades. NORCAL ACADEMY BASKETBALL for girls in fifth-through-11th grades are taking sign-ups through March 3, and will hold skill development sessions twice a week beginning March 12, and running through May 16, with tryouts for a competitive traveling team also being held. SONOMA VALLEY HIGH School’s alumni committee organizing the 2013 Dragon Hall of Fame event, taking place Saturday, May 11, at Hanna Boys Center’s new facility on its Arnold Drive campus, needs help with its search for members of the Sonoma girls’ 1978 and ’79 cross country championship teams.
