The Sonoma Theatre Alliance has been bringing a wide variety of theatrical experiences, from comedies such as “The Foreigner” to full-scale musicals such as “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” to Sonoma audiences during its summer seasons at the Sonoma Community Center.

The alliance will host its “Midwinter’s Eve Celebration” to unveil highlights of the 2013 season on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Burlingame Hall in the First Congregational Church at 252 W. Spain St.

The night will include special guest Ellen Toscano, better known as the Pineapple Princess of “Beach Blanket Babylon” fame. Tom Martin will provide live music, and singers and actors will perform scenes and numbers from some of the shows to be produced in 2013. Hors d’oeuvres will be served alongside wine provided by J Baldwin Wines.

There will also be a raffle of prizes such as a getaways to a Lake Tahoe or River’s Bend Retreat Center cabin, season tickets to the 2013 Sonoma Theatre Alliance showcase, passes to the Sonoma International Film Festival and acting courses from the Silver Moon Theatre Company. Raffle tickets are $10 each or three for $25.

Tickets to the “Midwinter’s Eve Celebration” are $25, and reservations are required by contacting 206-1668 or SonomaTheatre@comcast.net. All proceeds from the event will go toward underwriting the seven separate producations the Sonoma Theatre Alliance will bring in 2013.
