Trail work

Jan 28, 2013 - 06:33 PM
The Sonoma Overlook Trail Stewards recently contracted with the Conservation Corps North Bay to repair a deteriorating segment of the trail near the Upper Loop. The Conservation Corps crew installed new retaining walls constructed with landscape timbers, re-bar and rock. Crew members include, from left, Emily Byrnes, Rueben Portillo, Jerry Coleman, Hazel Hoyt, Melanie Luna, Waymon Radford and Chad Hedge. Funds for this project were raised through a mailing to past SOT donors and friends. The Hanna Boys, Kathryn Perry and her husband donated their time and talents to orchestrate this fundraising effort. John Donelly, with the Trail Stewards said, “The Stewards extend their thanks to the Perrys as well as to all those who have so generously contributed to the maintenance and sustainability of the Sonoma Overlook Trail.”
