SONOMA VALLEY HIGH School’s 2013 spring sports preseasons are underway with practice sessions in six sports, including boys’ baseball, girls’ softball, boys’ tennis and golf, boys’ and girls’ track and field, and boys’ and girls’ swimming. The varsity baseball boys will scrimmage at Rancho Cotate tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 16, before opening their season hosting longtime sectional rival San Marin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Arnold Field. Sonoma’s track and field teams will hold their annual season-opening intra-squad Green and White Relays and Alumni Meet starting at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Schantz Track. Again, Sonoma alumni are invited to participate in the event, and anyone interested can contact Linda Patterson at 933-4010 or email sonomatrack@comcast.net.
BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS Sonoma Valley are holding a final registration session for youth T-ball and coach-pitch baseball for boys and girls ages 4 to 8 years old at the club’s location in Maxwell Farms Regional Park, 100 Verano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Feb, 16.
