Sonoma boy netters topple Analy, 3rd in tourney, golfers upend Vintage, edged by El Mo

Dragons hosting tennis Thursday, golfers on road

Racking up their third straight win without a loss to start the Sonoma County League season, the defending SCL champion Sonoma Valley High School tennis boys defeated Analy 5-2 in Sebastopol yesterday, after taking third-place in last Saturday’s Redwood Empire Tennis Tournament at Santa Rosa.

Playing a pair of matches at the Sonoma Golf Club, the Dragon boy golfers won their first match of the season by clubbing nonleague Vintage 235-254 last week, before dropping a 224-228 SCL-opening heartbreaker to visiting El Molino on Tuesday.

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 7, the Dragon netters host new SCL foe Elsie Allen at 3:30 p.m. on the SGC course, while Sonoma’s golfers play league rival Analy in Sebastopol.
