Sheep quintuplets

Jan 7, 2013 - 05:31 PM
Gabrielle Mansour, of Sonoma, holds one of the quintuplets her market ewe, Taboo, gave birth to last week. Giving birth to quintuplets is extremely rare for sheep, although Taboo gave birth to quadruplets last year. The 16-year-old Mansour has been breeding ewes since she was 8 as her FFA project and sells the lambs to other FFA students who want show animals. Mansour is a sophomore at St. Vincent’s, belongs to the Petaluma FFA and wants to study ag science in college.
