See climate change in melting ice
If you remain unconvinced that global climate change is not only real, but reaching a point of critical concern, I urge you to come and watch “Chasing Ice” next Monday evening at Sebastiani Theatre in its single, big-screen appearance here in the Valley.
If you are already convinced, then this film is sure to compel you to do more than just fret about the situation. The 75-minute documentary will entertain you with absolutely breath-taking photography, and it will educate you about the extreme ice melt taking place all over the planet. Facing the truth about the human factor in climate change may not be something most of us like to consider, but unless we do so, and soon, whatever changes we may need to make in our behavior, as well as our national policy, may be too little, too late.
I hope that on Feb. 25, at 7, our beloved Sebastiani Theatre is filled with those of you who want to learn what is really going on out there relative to climate change. For more information about the film, you can see the article in the Feb. 19 issue of the Index-Tribune, or visit transitionsonomavalley.org.
