Riding the red carpet

Feb 25, 2013 - 07:27 PM
Sonoma’s “stars” came out on Sunday to watch the 85th annual Academy Awards at a lavish fundraiser hosted by the Sonoma International Film Society at Hanna Boys Center. Upon arrival, guests walked the red carpet and had their photos snapped by the “paparazzi” of Sonoma Valley High School, before a night of sipping wines, sampling gourmet foods and watching the main event. The loudest cheer came when “Brave,” produced by Glen Ellen resident John Lasseter, took the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
