Quilt Show marks 10th year in Sonoma
Wondering how to celebrate National Quilt Day on March 16 or St. Patrick’s Day on March 17? Come and enjoy the display of quilts at the 10th annual Sonoma Quilt Show at Vintage House senior center on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and March 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Featured this year is the work of Valda Whitman, a noted quilt maker, teacher and renovator of old and damaged quilts. She also finishes those left still in pieces and practices the vanishing art of hand-quilting.
Whitman will be at the show both days and invites people to talk with her about quilts.
The admission is $5 and all proceeds benefit Vintage House.
Raffle tickets for the Double Irish Chain queen-sized quilt made by QUILT (Quilters United in Loose Threads) are available at the Vintage House front desk. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. The winner need not be present.
Vintage House is located at 264 First St. E.
